Post n°5 A photograph

Hi today I’m going to write about a picture I like too much.

This picture was taken by a CNN journalist, this photograph shows an Iceland astonishing landscape that shows us the nature is the greatest. This picture was taken in May 2009.

The journalist were exploring this country to show the nature, the culture and to show how the people lives on this cold place, they also went to look at the stars and to presence the aurora borealis.

Like a freak fact this country is used to film popular series and movies like Game of Thrones or The lord of the rings.

I like this photograph very much because my dream is to fly around the world and to visit this wonderful country, there is too much to see and I like everything related to the nature, this would be my favourite country to visit and to explore it.

Blog n°7 A career related website

Hello people, today I’m going to write about a career related website, this one is the link www.musictheory.net.

This website is really useful to me and for my career because you can find a lot of information about the music theory like chords, Scales, Arpeggios and everything related about what a musician must know. It’s also useful with your ear training, it can really help you to get on tune.

Well this website have 3 useful sections: 

The Lessons section: it helps you to understand the basics of music theory.

The Exercises section: helps you to check if you are good enough or if you have to practice some more, it also helps you to get better.

The Tools section: this one is the most useful because you can write what you need and this tools give you the information about how you must do to be right.

I visit this site not very often because I like to study with my books or with my piano but sometimes when I feel I’m not so good with the ear I can use it to train. I like this site a lot because it gives you a very good base to start in music, the only problem is that you have to pay to get advanced lessons.

Post n°6 Latinoamerican musicians and creators

Hello, today i will speak about my favorite latinoamerican composer Gustavo Cerati, he is an Argentinian Musician and The ex leader of Soda Stereo He was born in Buenos Aires (11th august, 1959) and he died in Buenos Aires (4th, September 2014). He was the vocalist and the guitarist of Soda Stereo and he composed almost every song of the band. After the band dissolution He started a new career as a soloist in the 90's.

His contribution to the latinoamerican music was really important because he brought new sounds to this part of the world, and because his lyrics gave the people a lot to think about.

He moved a lot of people when he was alive, he made a lot of concerts and he made a lot of albums too. I like him as a musician because he sing pretty well and he is very creative with his guitar, and I like him as a composer because he writes good music and good lyrics.

Post nº4 Musical projects

Hello everybody, today I’m going to write about my musical projects.

My current musical project it's studying musical theory in the University, I started this project since March, 2017 this project is individual and it’s very important to me because this will make me a better musician. I will learn a lot of music things, like reading/writing musical score, be tuned when I am singing, and discover new sounds and kinds of music between another things. It will be pretty tough to be a good student here but if you study it will be much easier.

In future plans I would like to create a rock band. I will start on this when I have enough knowledge about composing and create good harmony in my songs, and well when I find good friends that want to play with me. This project it's for sure collective because I cannot afford the money to be soloist.

By the way I like to sing and play guitar so I can do that in my  new band.

This project is very important to me because if I want to be a musician I have to find my way into the hearts of the people and if I can do this I will be really happy. The true reward will be the love of the people that listen when you are playing (or the hate) and the satisfaction that you find when you are playing with your band. The difficulties are a lot, because is pretty hard to arise between a lot of other bands in this country, but maybe one day we will play on Nacional stadium and maybe in other countries.

Post n°3 My favorite piece of technology.

Hi, today im gonna write about my favorite gadget. I had a Delay pedal that was one of my favorites, I used to play a lot of guitar with it, but now i can’t use it because it doesn’t work anymore. So im gonna speak about my laptop. I got it since 2 years, and I use it very often, almost daily.

I like my laptop because I can do a lot of things with it, like doing homeworks, reading, writing, playing videogames, chat with Friends, record my songs, listen to music, watching series and videos, etc.

My life without my laptop would be so boring, but i think it would be much more productive because there will be no distractions for me and I could study much more time that I do now.

Post n°2 Expectations for this semester

Well, this semester is my first one I’m studying Music Theory and I’m very excited because is the career I really wanted to study. The subjects I have to study are Musical creation, English, Art history, Musical Language, Piano, Guitar workshop and Musical investigation.

Extracurricular activities: I like spending time playing my guitar and singing 2 hours daily. Another thing, I have a swimming class as a CFG Mondays at 9 am in Universidad de Chile pool on Cal y Canto.

I expect a lot of things for this term but I know this is not going to be easy. This semester im gonna study a lot because I need to approve all the subjects in my career, and if I fail or reprove 1 of the subjects I have wasted a year because I cannot take them on the next semester.

Post n°1 My autobiography

Hi, my name is Benjamín Ramírez Tagle. I was born in 30^th may, 1999 in San Fernando, Chile.

I grew up in Santiago since I was 1 year old, I started Kindergarten when I was 4 years old, then I went to school until I was 12 years old. I started INBA High school in 2013 and I ended it in 2016.

I did the PSU test and I achieved to get in Universidad de Chile to study Music Theory.

I used to live with my grandmother my 2 aunts my 2 cousins and my mom in Lo Prado, but then My mom and I went to live to Downtown. Now I live with her and her couple, and my cat.

I have 2 principal Hobbies, playing guitar and play videogames and well I like sleeping a lot of hours too but now I can´t because I have to study a lot.

I like to play guitar with my friends, and speak with them in person, my favorite bands are: Los Prisioneros, Soda Stereo, Metallica, Heroes del Silencio, The strokes and Faith no More.
